Description:This book is the account of a thirty-year quest to discover a secret crypt that countless literary and legendary sources place on the top of Mount Horeb, the one where Moses received the tablets of the law. The research was made as part of the archaeological expeditions organised and led by Prof. Emmanuel Anati to Har Karkom, a sacred mountain in the Negev desert that he identified with the biblical Mount Sinai. He documented the millenary history of that territory, establishing who frequented it, when, and why, in such a way that allowed to find precise confirmations in the literature of those frequentations. The research was conducted both on the ground and on literary and historical texts that have provided an incredible amount of information, which made it possible to reconstruct completely and reliably the events of the crypt over the last three millennia.
