New Testament Commentary

R.L. Davis
4.9/5 (28681 ratings)
Description:Serving God involves many variables, including a lifetime of study and a commitment to God and his will, prayer, and carrying out his plans on earth. Many years ago, God instructed me to write this verse-by-verse commentary on the New Testament. One commentary cannot begin to explain all that is involved in the revelation of God's word to humanity. Therefore, this work is meant only to complement other works, for there is nothing new under the sun! This is not a Greek word study or a reference study. We are interested only in what the Spirit is saying to the church today. This commentary provides insights that God's Spirit revealed to me during the exhaustive process of formulation. It is my prayer that you will be richly enhanced by this work and that it will be a blessing to you and your family.Dr. R. L. Davis is the Founder and Pastor of Zion Word Church in Anderson, MO and has been serving in ministry since 1979. He was born in Caldwell, Idaho and grew up on a small farm with his parents Homer and Dolores Davis and his sister Sandi in Powell, Missouri. He married Treby Murray on October 1, 1971 and they have since resided in Southwest Missouri until this day. They have three children and three grandchildren. Dr. Davis served in the armed forces for three years and was honorably discharged from the Military Police in 1976. When not busy with the daily challenges of full-time ministry, he enjoys his daily walks, spending time with his family, and building his docroc custom guitars from scratch as a hobby. Dr. Davis became a born again Christian in 1977. He answered God’s call to preach later in 1978 and immediately began his theological studies while serving in the fivefold ministry. He completed his undergraduate studies at Crowder College, Ozark Bible Institute, and the International Gospel Assemblies Institute. In 1999, he completed an earned Ph.D. in Theology and Biblical Studies from the University of Christian Studies and Seminary of Eagle River, Alaska.Dr. Davis is an ordained minister of the Independent Assemblies of God International and Until That Day Ministries International. He is a certified teacher through the Accrediting Commission International. His ministry primarily operated as Randy Davis Ministries until the formal incorporation of Zion Word Church.Dr. Davis founded Zion Word Church in 1990 and is the Senior Pastor. He established and is currently the overseer of Zion Word Ministries International headquartered at the church in Anderson, Missouri USA. In a small town of only 2,000 people, the congregation is likewise small in quantity; but nonetheless, Dr. Davis’ responsibilities within the church are extensive. In addition to the day to day pastoral duties, he ministers at least twice a week behind the pulpit and also teaches a foundational class for new converts every Wednesday night. He is also the lead guitar player for the praise and worship band and plays for every worship service. In addition to the New Testament Commentary, Dr. Davis has authored a few unpublished booklets over the years including the “Believer’s Jump Start” and “The Holy Ghost for Believer’s Only.”In other settings outside of Zion Word, Dr. Davis is serving on the University of Christian Studies and Seminary (UCSS) board of directors as Senior Chancellor. UCSS is located in Eagle River, Alaska of which Zion Word Church is a college branch available for those doing formal independent Biblical studies. He is certified Doctoral Therapist, and serves on the UCSS Board of Examiners for “The Agency for Excellence in Christian Counseling (AECC)”. Dr. Davis is also an apostle to Zambia and Kenya, Central Africa. He has made four trips thus far to that region with our USA missionaries and elders. We have made it easy for you to find a PDF Ebooks without any digging.
