RTO Studios is the largest and most successful movie studio in Hollywood, and it has recently embarked on a horror movie project titled, "The Nightmare Castle of Horror." Entering the literary stage are two high schoolers (Norman Felskin and Betsy Poldosky), who have recently been chosen to be the leads in the highly successful radio show, "The Valley Sleuths." All is seemingly well... until Norman meets a mysterious boy at the studio's West Cafeteria by the name of Julio Velasquez. Julio reveals how the boy's uncle is missing, and somehow he is able to convince Norman and Betsy to go out to the Old European Backlot in order to search for clues to the uncle's whereabouts. They are also determined to find out why there are so many unexplained incidents going on near the horror set that is presently under construction (and even explore the mystifying reference to something called, the "Moradhaku"). The story is an intellective, suspenseful, and fast paced adventure; written in the classic style of Hitchcock and Hollywood's Golden Age.
