Description:Epsom, New Hampshire, was founded in 1727 and was the first settlement in the Suncook River Valley, predating the settlement of nearby Concord by twenty years. Birth, death and marriage records have been gleaned from many sources. All old town record books were read and the church registers, cemetery books and the Dolbeer Diaries were all searched. Some 7,500 names have been included. The book is divided into three births, deaths and marriages. Names are listed alphabetically within each section and the source of each entry is identified. Birth records (1741–1927) give the date of birth and parents’ names where available. Death records (1741–1935) give the date and place of death where available. Marriage records (1741–1927) give the date, name of the bride and groom, place of marriage and where available the clergyman who performed the ceremony. An appendix includes the 1727 town charter, a list of town offices, first land owners, 1776 Association test names, Revolutionary War service records and the War of 1812 servicemen.
