He was a volunteer commentator on WNCW radio in Spindale, NC for 17 years. He lives with his 86-year-old father in Forest City, NC, and spends as much time as possible with his son Luke. They have a cat named Rose. He is a former United Methodist minister, a political activist, a former newspaper editor, a singer-songwriter, an after-dinner speaker, an advocate for battered women, and a pizza delivery guy.
