Description:“...adventure, danger and humour all skillfully laced with a fantastically descriptive narrative”“A brilliant book that I couldn’t put down. Five stars!”“Inspiring. Books like this are what encouraged me to travel to places off the beaten track.”“A fascinating read. Every page paints a picture. Thoroughly recommended.”Meet a man born with a large dose of wanderlust. A man who once bought a one-way ticket to South America after a dull day at the office!   His plan was simple, land, then head north...instead, he went south! And that was back before the internet and smartphones made travel easy.   Six months later with less than 200 bucks left in his back pocket, he landed in Miami. Border control, however, had other ideas…An earlier walkabout through Australasia lasted two years, leading eventually through Communist China not long after the country first opened its borders. Communication, money and getting around were the only real issues! From Peking, a risky 6-dayTrans Siberian railway ride just as the Soviet Union was collapsing brought some very close calls along the way.Packed full of action, humour, unusual destinations and life-threatening moments the pages will transport you to twenty countries on five continents with bungy jumps, caving, Komodo dragons, sky-diving, foot-eating stingrays and active volcanos all in the mix!“I don’t normally read books twice but this one I just had to!” Introduction In the heart of Hanoi's hectic Old Quarter lies a small chaotic junction where five narrow roads converge. On one corner stands a large glass-fronted store called Tom Tom, opposite, is a popular restaurant-bar named Com Ga. Above the corners bustling streets, the bar's broad balcony soon became a favourite spot, and whilst sitting there people watching the idea for this book was born. Two months touring Europe by train gave me an early taste for travel, so six years later I set off again, this time flying Down-Under with a work visa and vague dreams of a watersports venture. Instead, I discovered the freedom and adventure of life on the road. After a year-long meandering walkabout in Oz, I hitch-hiked much of New Zealand for six months, flew back into Australia, then took a slow route home overland through Asia. The trip lasted almost two years. Five years on, found me backpacking through Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Peru, and Ecuador, with an excursion to Easter Island along the way. Following six months in South America, I flew north to the States, spending the next year split between L.A., home and Hawaii. A year later I landed a job in Grand Cayman working as a watersports instructor, but eighteen months later left the island behind and flew to Belize with hopes of starting my own business. After exploring its coast and cayes, the right opportunity never arose, so I headed to Honduras seeking work in the Bay Islands. Finally, I crossed the border into Guatemala and travelled the country by bus. After three months on the road, I returned to the UK. Several months later I drove an overloaded van to Spain along with two friends and started a business. For the next seven years, I settled there before moving once more back to British soil. In 2016 I spent two months travelling solo through Vietnam, crossing into Cambodia in time for Khmer New Year’s crazy celebrations. For now, I’m back in the UK...We have made it easy for you to find a PDF Ebooks without any digging.
