Description:Synopsis: When I Finally Get There is my second book of poetry. All my words come from a place I cannot explain. But I do tend to think ahead and have always done so. As with my earlier book of poems, Sense of Words, I began writing after a near-fatal head injury in December 2011, which left me with amnesia for over four months. I began writing again in March 2012, and have not stopped since. Poems just come to me, and I can easily write eight in an afternoon. My thoughts are always looking into the distance and to faraway places. I won top prize for poetry from Scotland's best-selling newspaper when I was ten years old, but didn't begin writing again until after my head injury. I write about romance, love, nature, childhood, and life in general. Many say I am a born poet since I never studied poetry. About the Author: Bobby Ferguson of Glasgow, Scotland, was told in 2008 that he had eighteen months to two years to live and would never walk again.
