Description:From the author's forward:"In September 1934 I joined the Faculty of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America, and thus the treasures of its famous Library became easily accessible to me. This resulted in an almost complete re-orientation in my Biblical studies. For up till then, while in Bonn, my research was based upon the well-known printed Bibles, which were in general use at that time...and which claimed to be faithful reproductions of Jacob ben Chayim's First Masoretic Bible...But upon coming to America, I could fill the shelves of my study...with all the genuine, old Bible editions, both Hebrew and polyglot...The first result was utter confusion on my part! I saw the cherished rules of Hebrew grammar crumble, one after the other, since the actual facts as exhibited in these Bibles did not uphold them. I then tried to concentrate on the re-examination of specific, individual problems according to the new findings, and to present the outcome of such studies in separate monographs, whenever I felt that the material which I had assembled, allowed for the formulation of definite conclusion...In the ensuing years since these monographs were first published, certain developments have taken place, which helped to broaden my outlook and thus make a new, revised and augmented publication of these studies, from a general viewpoint, possible and imperative. For the phenomena, which were treated disjointedly when first published, now appear to me in a new light as the interconnected links of a grammatical system, reflecting the historical development of Hebrew grammar from an earlier traceable period until emergence of what is known to us as Masoretic Hebrew...Thus, the fundamental difference of this new approach in treating the respective problems of Hebrew grammar, from the way they have hitherto been dealt with--if treated they were at all and not completely overlooked--, will at once become evident and--I hope I may also add--convincing..."We have made it easy for you to find a PDF Ebooks without any digging.
