One who is fond of old books finds himself here in a veritable paradise of the ancient, the valuable, and the curious products of the typographic art. Here, one day in April, 1902, I made the acquaintance of the proprietor, affable, energetic, enthusiastic, polylingual, with a trick of bring ing his heels together and assuming a military attitude in salut ing that bespoke a soldier's training.
