Beauty was bored with the good life. She needed a change. She desired something different; something to wet her appetite; something extraordinary. She sought it out in a place she’d never enter under normal circumstances, the Stairway to Heaven Bar. It didn’t take long to conclude the atmosphere wouldn’t be as advertised; after all it was a non-noteworthy neon-signed seedy establishment, named semi-ironically, having a grimy entrance set below street level requiring patrons to descend a flight of stairs to get in. Low lit, heavy with failure, full of lowlifes and lower spirits--it was exactly the low-profile type of dim-lit dungeon which the Beast felt most comfortable in. Beauty beheld the dismal environment with a gleam in her eye. She had never seen anything like it. Denim and leather dominated the locals’ fashion with stretched, stained, and worn T-shirts being the favorite accessory by far. One could say the lizard-skinned patrons dressed to match their environment in hopes of being camouflaged should a fight break out. The only thing missing was a hay and peanut-shell floor to help soak-up the upchucked ambience. In her designer-label outfit Beauty stood out like a Barbie doll in a pig sty. With the arrogance of a Goddess she announced her solo arrival with, “So this is where the unbuttoned, unshaven, blue-collars come to unwind.” Much to her surprise she wasn’t met with a standing ovation. Obviously she was the best thing to step into that rat-hole since prohibition went out of style. Still it didn’t take long for the horny mongrels to come around sniffing her pedigreed butt.
