C'est par 'lui - meme que nous le savons, dit M. 'grande. Eu 1562 il publia a Venise une brochure intitulee La universale descriclione del Monde dont il ne reste qu'un seul exemplaire a la Bibliotheque du Roi a Turin, que M. Grande a pu analyser. On y voit que c'est M'arco Polo qui fit entrevoir la verite a notre cartographe, en lui fournissant des particularites sur la geographie du nord-est de l'asie qui etaient con traires a l'hypothese que les deux continents n'en faisaient qu'un et qui figurent sur sa carte de 1561 mentionnee plus haut.
