Because to deeply improve implies attaining knowledge. We must all awaken in ourselves the knowledge and love preached by the great sages. You need not only the commandments for the masses, the ideologies, when it comes to changing mankind: you also need a great individual work. Art can really educate, but painting and art in general is but one door leading to another door. After all, it is the spectators who have to do the work. Art is only a helper."
