Thomas is the recipient of a 2016 Lambda Literary Fellowship and a Norma Epstein Foundation Award in Creative Writing. At 22, their proposal on Weezer's Pinkerton was shortlisted for publication in Bloomsbury's prestigious 33 1/3 series. They are presently completing their first novel, a contemporary young adult romance workshopped at the Lambda Literary Retreat with Benjamin Alire Sáenz and at the University of Toronto with Dennis Bock, Anne Michaels, and André Alexis. Write Yrself Clean is the first publicly available collection of Thomas's writing.
