There seems to be a feeling of apathy on the part of the retail trade, a condition that has existed ever since the easing down of the scare at the beginning of the European war. And all this time a growing world - wide scarcity of drugs and chemicals covering a wide range has been going on unchecked. To be sure, this tendency has been reﬂected by price advances, and it would seem that even those who run might have read; but for some reason little attention has been paid to the writing On the wall.
