We will prob ably be interrupted with some voting before we are through today, but we will try to go ahead and get started and move this along as expeditiously as we can. This afternoon the Military Installations and Facilities Sub committee will conduct its first hearing of the lo4th Congress. At the outset, I want to express my appreciation to my colleagues on this subcommittee, especially the ranking Member, Mr. Ortiz, for their cooperation and useful suggestions as we organize the subcommittee for this Congress. I look forward to working closely with each of the committee Members and move toward consideration of the fiscal year 1996 Defense Authorization Bill.
