Description:This book is about a Little Spider named Breezy. She leaves her mother’s web and ventures out to find a new home of her own. Breezy finds a tree limb that over hangs the water on a little island in the Bluffton May River. She decides it is the perfect place to build her web. She loved to watch the morning sunrises. As the sun rose, the river would come to life with many different sea lives swimming by. She loved her new home, but became lonely and bored. One day she decided to learn how to swim. She climbed down her tree limb and put her legs into the water. She was swept off her tree limb by a big wave. The current carried her away from her home. A baby Crab named Little Jake came along and rescued her. They became best friends, and their adventures together began. With every adventure, she met a new friend along the way. This book was named after The Bluffton May River, because it is one of my favorite places. It is a place where I spent a lot of my time when I was a young girl and later in life with my children. I was looking for the main characters that would be an odd pair. The idea came to me, when my sister called her best friend spider, because she is long legged and awkward. Her best friend called her Crab, because she woke up every morning with body aches and walked like a crab.
