This program is designed for students desiring an internship experience and a basic seminar concerning the nature of college teaching. Students should register for internship-seminar in College Teaching 491, a course offered jointly by the Department of Education and the major department, and for Education 474, Seminar in College Teaching. Students planning to teach in junior colleges requiring certification may need to take work beyond the 32 hours required for the degree. They should obtain information as to the certification rules of the state in which they desire to teach, in order to include the necessary courses in their programs.
