Description:Excerpt from The Parochial Library of the Eighteenth Century: In Christ Church, Boston An acknowledgement is due to Miss Constance Ashenden, who, after having made a study of the history of the Christ Church Library, freely placed her data at my disposal. Also to Mrs. Wilda C. S. Beck, who catalogued the library in 1914. This Catalogue was carefully collated and revised in 1916. Six volumes including four new titles, were then added, which had been unearthed from among the miscellaneous books in possession of the Church. In 1917 another volume was discovered and added to the Catalogue. To-day the books have merely an antiquarian interest, and it has not seemed desirable to give detailed collations. Accordingly the list is presented here in the form of a simple title-catalogue, although sufficiently explicit to indicate the character of the works.
