While preparing my notes on this subject, I made a personal examination of all the copies of the tracts which I could find in London and in this country, in order to settle the question whether all the copies extant included Edward Johnson's work; not that this would be conclusive proof of the position assumed by me in the discussion of the subject, but I thought it might serve the purpose of circumstantial evidence in favor of Gorges.
