As before, the Registers are printed in abstract form, but comprise all facts which are recorded, and abbreviations, most of which arc evident to the reader, are freely used. A full list of them has been given in preceding volumes, together with a summary of Parish Register history. Thanks are due to the clergy, the custodians of the respective registers, for leave to print them, and for facilities afforded in transcription. The services of those who have transcribed and collated the registers are mentioned in the introductions, but the Editor desires to record again in this general note his and the subscribers indebtedness to Miss Auden.
