As President of the New York State Board of the American Red Cross, I urge the people of the State of New York out of their abundance to make a generous and prompt response to this call of humanity. Conditions in China are pitiful and terrible, and this appeal to the people of the Empire State should not be in vain. Contributions should be sent to Jacob H. Schiff, Treasurer of the New York State Board of the American Red Cross, 52 William street, New York City.
