Y., 1845), "The American Spy, Nathan Hale," followed in 1846, and "The Trappers of New York" in 1850. "The Frontiersmen of New York," two volumes , fell to a later date, having been published 1882-83. In addition to these more permanent works, he for a long time contributed, almost daily, articles on politics, the ethics of national government, sociological progress, and other topics of the hour to the Albany "Argus," and to various papers throughout the slate.
