She was abducted, incessantly tortured, brutally raped and finally after 3 hours killed by numerous blows to her head with a tire iron and a knife stick. Her body was dumped in a roadside landfill. The case was worked well by law enforcement. Evidence was recovered and taken to the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office by the FBI. The evidence was then supposed to be transferred to the Arkansas Crime Lab in Little Rock. It never arrived at the crime lab. Members of the Pamela Faye Felkins task force kept pestering the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office about sending the evidence, which consisted of a bloody mattress, carpet fibers and other items were from the location of the torture and rape scene. The kill scene was along the roadside next to where her body was dumped. It is a heart wrenching story. It make grown men I know cry, tough old cops. The case was solved and presented to a certain prosecutor, who refused to sign an arrest warrant for the one who was known to be one of the two perpetrators. The criminal investigators, who presented the case to the prosecutor, thought at the time, that the Arkansas Crime Lab already had the remaining evidence.
