Corrugations: The Art of Jeff Thomson

Unknown Author
4.9/5 (14853 ratings)
Description:Jeff Thomson (b.1957) has enjoyed a career as a sculptor for three decades. He is best known for his work with corrugated iron, but as this book showcases, Thomson has corrugated many different materials. Thomson's work includes iconic New Zealand sculptures such as the Gumboot in Taihape and the HQ Holden now in the Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa's collection. However, Thomson has continued to manipulate his chosen materials from making delicate lace doilies to re-roofing houses with highly patterned iron. Thomson's work straddles large public pieces to the smaller domestic works. His work continues to change and evolve, often determined by the context for which it is made such as his recent installations on Waiheke Island and a hay sculpture in the field at Chateau de Padies in the South of France. Commissions have taken Thomson worldwide but he is happiest working from his Helensville, west Auckland, home and studio. We have made it easy for you to find a PDF Ebooks without any digging.
