Description:On Domhan the Golden Child is a legend, a hero of mythical proportions, avatar of the new God, Alinard. So, despite the destruction of the temples, he brings the people hope. The masses huddle around the fortress of another of Alinard's faithful to recover and lick their wounds while a chosen few are left behind to rebuild a temple greater than the one before. The war is far from over and the King, a wicked boy controlled by demon known as Dubhaca- "the little black one"- takes advantage of the minor victory and brings his forces to bear. When Ioras is taken in battle the only remaining hope is to track the demon into the very heart of his kingdom for rescue or revenge. Led by the ranger Kimber and accompanied by Cipsis, the Golden Child's new found son as well as a few close companions, a group is formed to free Ioras or die trying. As the veils between worlds fade, the gods argue amongst themselves. Alinard finds allies in even the most unexpected places against the will of the Pantheon.
