Description:Fred Freitag wrote his first four poems at 18 years of age, on his bicycle trip to Italy, while enchanted by the beautiful sight of Garda Lake. Fred loves nature-paddling his kayak on great rivers, and the Mediterranean coast, inspired him with great imagination to write more poems and songs. All his poems are very descriptive and conclude with a touching message while they are based on perfect rhyme and rhythm. Shortly after Fred had led a Canadian river expedition, 1700 miles to the Arctic Ocean, his fascination with the wild north filled him with gratitude for having survived 6 close calls, and he found the ability to feel through the hearts of others. Fred and his wife, Renate, settled in Victoria, BC. It was here where he wrote most of his poetry. He received the Editors Choice Award from the International Library of Poetry and was nominated Ambassador of Poetry in 2007. From 162 poems and songs, written in 3 languages, he chose 50 of them for the chapters of this book.
