Daniel Lawrence, the 9th son of John Lawrence and Patience Sacket, was, like his brother Jonathan, an exile from his home from 1776 to 1783, and served as a member of Assembly from Queens, under the ordinance of the Convention of 1777, and from that year till the termination of the war. He married Miss Eve Van Horn of New York, a lady of a highly respectable family in the city of New York, and died, leaving numerous descendants, in 1807, at the age of sixty-eight years.
