Excerpt: Yoonjung Han (born January 12, 1985 in South Korea) is a female South Korean classical pianist. Han's parents are not professional musicians, but her mother liked piano music so the family had a piano at home. Han went to church every Sunday and enjoyed the music. She started playing with the piano as a speaking toy and it became her best friend. She soon found music was a good method that allowed her to be free to express herself. Because of her apparent music talent and since her family lived in the Korea countryside without music schools, her mother took her to music school in Seoul. Han attended the Juilliard School Pre-College Division in New York City from 2001-2003. Then from 2003-2007, she attended the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia, receiving her bachelor's degree in Music in 2007. From 2007-2009, she returned to the Juilliard School, receiving her master's degree in Music in May 2009. Han is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) degree at SUNY at Stony Brook. At age thirteen, Han made her solo debut with the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra at Sejong Concert Hall, playing Beethoven's Piano Concerto Number 3 in C minor. On February 19, 2005 Han performed the Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto Number 2 in C minor with the Pottstown Symphony Orchestra in Pottstown, Pennsylvania as part of their Masterworks II: Young Artist Showcase program. Han was selected as one of thirty-eight pianists worldwide and from May 9 to June 5, 2005 participated in the 2005 TCU/Cliburn Piano Institute Young Artists program in conjunction with the Twelfth Van Cliburn Internation...More: http: //booksllc.net/?id=231671We have made it easy for you to find a PDF Ebooks without any digging.
